1. Cream butter and sugar.

  2. Add water and vanilla.

  3. Mix well.

  4. Blend in flour and nuts.

  5. Chill for 2 to 4 hours.

  6. Shape into tablespoon-sized balls.

  7. Place on ungreased cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart.

  8. Bake 20 minutes at 325F, until barely brown around edges.

What do these cookies have to do with the islands? Walker enjoys making them with his grandchildren at Cow Wreck Beach every Christmas. The kids LOVE these cookies.
